Maybe the best part of living in Mount Pleasant is living minutes from the beach.

Plan for the perfect day of sand and sun in Mount Pleasant before heading to the shore. It’s all right here in our 6 stops for the perfect beach day roundup.

6 Stops For The Perfect Beach Day

DRESS

For fashion-forward swimwear, sandals, and sunglasses for women, visit Drift (1440 Ben Sawyer Blvd. Suite 1104). While you’re there, you can pick up a summer dress to throw over your new suit for an after-beach cocktail.  Men can find swim trunks and boardshorts at Parrot Surf and Skate (811 Coleman Blvd). The selection is tailored for the serious surfer, but no one will tell if you’re planning to lounge and not surf in your new suit.

EAT

Pack up lunch and enjoy it with your feet in the sand. Mozzo Deli (730 Coleman Blvd.) may have more sandwiches on the menu than any other spot in Mount Pleasant. There’s a reason the line snakes through the restaurant at lunchtime, so go early! If you’re looking for something lighter, try a chopped salad from Verde (730 Coleman Blvd. & 616-A Long Point Rd.). Either way, be sure to order freshly brewed iced tea to go.

SHOP

If you’re without an umbrella or a chair, you can pick up all the gear you need for a day at the beach at Pipeline Surf Shop (1134 Hungryneck Blvd). From surfboards for the most adventurous beachgoer to floats and sand toys for kids, Pipeline is a one-stop-shop for beach days. You’ll leave with everything on your list and plenty of things that weren’t.

REFRESH

Skip the crowds by the beach and head back to Mount Pleasant for a drink. No one will mind if there’s still some sand between your toes on the patio at Triangle Char & Bar (1440 Ben Sawyer Blvd.). Choose from more than 30 beers or try one of their signature cocktails, like the Juniper Breeze, made with Tanqueray, St. Germain, and Grapefruit, or the Ginger Cat, made with Honeysuckle Vodka, ginger beer, orange, and mint.
