MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 7, 2017) – Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page, along with Councilmen Haynie and Smith, commemorated the opening of celebrated national franchises Blo Blow Dry Bar and Waxing the City today. The first locations in the Lowcountry, both franchises will bring elevated beauty services to Mount Pleasant residents and visitors.
“Congratulations to Blo Blow Dry Bar and Waxing the City on locating in Mount Pleasant,” said Mayor Page. “We look forward to their involvement in our community and the wonderful array of services they will provide our citizens.”
Both franchises are owned and operated by Charleston-area residents Jeremy and Elaine Bollington.

Waxing the City is a unique waxing studio devoted solely to the art of waxing, known for its expertise and specially formulated waxes. Their expert technicians concentrate exclusively on providing waxing services in a clean, urban-chic, and inviting environment. Waxing the City uses two custom-formulated waxes — a hard wax with a beautiful blue hue (made with Azulene, an ancient oil that soothes and exfoliates skin), and a golden-hued soft wax (formulated to comfort the skin as it lifts away even the most stubborn hairs).
Blo Blow Dry Bar and Waxing the City are both located in Mount Pleasant at 905 Houston Northcutt Boulevard, Suites 101 and 100 respectively.
