Pelican’s SnoBalls Celebrates Opening in Mount Pleasant

Pelican’s SnoBalls, a national franchise serving “Original New Orleans Snoballs,” recently opened its first Mount Pleasant location. The new establishment celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 8. Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page, along with Town Council Members Gary Santos, Elton Carrier, Jim Owens, and Mark Smith, and Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce President Chris Staubes were in attendance.

“We welcome Pelican’s SnoBalls to Mount Pleasant,” said Mayor Linda Page. “We look forward to their involvement in the community and the delicious treats for our citizens and visitors to enjoy.”

With roots in Raleigh, North Carolina, Pelican’s SnoBalls has more than 90 locations, primarily in the Southeast. Each location is family-owned and operated, but the high-quality services and products remain consistent. The Mount Pleasant location is owned and operated by Chris Wiksell, a native of Mount Pleasant.

“We are proud to serve the community in which we live. Thank you for the opportunity to treat you and your family to a snoball like no other,” said Wiksell.

Located at 409 West Coleman Boulevard, Pelican’s will operate Monday through Saturday from 12:00pm until 9:00pm and from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday. There are 100 flavors and toppings, with gluten-free, nut-free, and sugar-free options. Pelican’s Snoballs has something for everyone, even Mount Pleasant’s four-legged citizens.
