Mount Pleasant ArtFest

This annual festival at the Mount Pleasant Towne Centre brings families and cultural enthusiasts together with budding and professional artists for an event that showcases a diverse array of local and regional artistic talent. Local music, dance, and visual arts studios offer stunning performances by some of the area’s most talented individuals and groups. Creative aspirations are ignited in children who are given opportunities to explore many art forms and create their own masterpieces.


The Mount Pleasant Artists Guild presents a juried art show. All activities and performances are free of charge. The event attracts residents and visitors of all ages, from young parents and children to seniors.

Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival

The Annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival presented by Novant Health and Harris Teeter is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year! The festival pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry, offering a boat parade, live music, a craft show, and lots of free activities with the picturesque Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop! #JustAsk where your seafood came from before you buy! Support local and wild-caught to support your fishermen…nothing beats Wild American Shrimp!

Activities

Participants are treated to a boat parade and ceremonial blessing of the shrimp/fishing fleet, savory seafood samplings sold by some of Mount Pleasant’s best chefs, live music, a craft show, Mount Pleasant Artists Guild juried art exhibit, Shag-dance and shrimp-eating contests, and family-friendly activities. Admission and activities are free! Come enjoy a wonderful time with your community in one of the most beautiful settings in the Lowcountry!

Art Exhibit & Craft Show

Stroll through the Artisan’s Village and enjoy a variety of hand-made arts and crafts. Be sure to check out the amazing art in the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild juried art exhibit, where you can browse and even purchase some of Mount Pleasant’s finest art!


Beneficiary

Continuing the tradition begun by the Magwood family who started the festival in 1988, every year the net proceeds from the festival have been given to local nonprofit organizations who partner with the Town on volunteer recruitment and management for the event.  The 2025 beneficiaries were Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant and the MeowDog Animal Rescue Be sure to stock up on event memorabilia to benefit these wonderful local causes! Parking & Shuttles Information

There is no parking at Memorial Waterfront Park with the exception of limited handicapped accessible spaces due to current construction. Park & WALK available at the Omar Shrine Temple.

Free shuttle busses run continually from 10:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Riders are welcome to bring chairs and festival gear on the buses! The last busses leave the park at 5:00 p.m. Wheelchair-accessible busses are available at Town Hall and Novant Health Mullis Building.  Find Shuttle Details & Locations Here!

Children’s Day Festival

Old and new traditions delight at the 38th Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Children’s Day Festival presented by Harris Teeter! Families will enjoy carnival rides, inflatable slides, live entertainment, pony rides, games, and many other activities!  Admission and all activities are free. Free parking is available at Cario Middle School and Charles Pinckney/Laurel Hill as well as Kids Teeth – shuttles run all day or simply use the school’s cut-through for a nice short walk!
