The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is one of the largest fall festivals in South Carolina. Come together with all groups of people to enjoy a day on the farm with a pumpkin patch, tractor tours, a petting zoo with pony rides, live performances, nature exhibits and more!

Tropical Fiesta – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Join the Latin Groove and the Town of Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts & Pride Commission as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with fun music, vendors, and a Caja de Cuerdas concert!

Caja de Cuerdas brings together musicians of diverse backgrounds in Classical, Jazz, Latin, Rock, and Popular Music from around the world as well as original pieces. You won’t want to miss this evening filled with Latin-inspired Music. Enjoy an introductory salsa lesson at intermission and be sure to grab a delicious picnic dinner from a food truck! Don’t miss this theatrical event in an OPEN-AIR setting under the stars! Bring your own chairs and blankets. This event is FREE.

Old Village Harbor 5k

The Old Village Harbor 5k is offered to residents and visitors each November. More than 200 runners participate in the race throughout the picturesque Old Village. This is a must for newcomers, seasoned runners, walkers, and dogs!


The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department has proudly organized the Old Village 5k road race for over two decades. It starts and finishes at James B. Edwards Par, located in The Old Village. Run or walk along the scenic streets as you discover a past full of colonial architecture design and amazing harbor views. Stay and relax after the race with music, refreshments, and a raffle prize giveaway. Dogs and strollers are welcome!

Children’s Day Festival

Old and new traditions delight at the 37th Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Children’s Day Festival! Families will enjoy carnival rides, inflatable slides, live entertainment, pony rides, games, and many other activities!  Admission and all activities are free. Free parking is available at Cario Middle School and Charles Pinckney/Laurel Hill as well as Kids Teeth – shuttles run all day or simply use the school’s cut-through for a nice short walk!
