Mount Pleasant SEAFOOD TRAIL
EXPERIENCE Real LOCAL SEAFOOD.
Mount Pleasant prides itself on the cherished history of being a fishing village. To this day, fishing and shrimping vessels continue to unload their fresh catch at the docks every day. Use the Mount Pleasant Local Seafood Trail as your guide to experience restaurants that are serving seafood sourced from our South Atlantic waters.
what local means
In the South Carolina seafood industry, “local” often refers to seafood caught within the surrounding South Atlantic states – North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. When available, South Carolina-harvested seafood remains the closest and most distinctly local choice. Restaurants participating in the Mount Pleasant Seafood Trail have taken a “Source Local” pledge. This means they currently offer at least 1 regularly or seasonally appearing seafood menu item that is wild-caught and harvested from South Atlantic Waters.
If you are a Mount Pleasant restaurant who wants to take the “Source Local” pledge and be featured on the Seafood Trail, you can get started here.
