Mount Pleasant Farmers Market
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market is a gathering place for locals and visitors to leisurely explore the market’s treasure trove of the freshest local vegetables, fruits, seafood, flowers, baked and canned goods, fresh-cooked meals and snacks. Live music each week.
Sweetgrass Festival
The annual Sweetgrass Festival is designed to promote and bring attention to the contributions of the Gullah Geechee people’s history, culture, traditions and their sweetgrass basket art. Offering free admission, entertainment and activities, the Sweetgrass Festival also provides an opportunity for local basket makers to showcase, promote and market their sweetgrass merchandise to locals as well as cultural tourists from around the country.

Mount Pleasant residents and visitors bring blankets and chairs, sit back to enjoy an incredible sunset while listening to local musicians, and then watch an outdoor movie with the beautiful Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop.

Food sales begin at 6:00 weekly and live music will start at 6:30pm. Movies begin at sunset (approx. 8:15 – 8:30 p.m.) Free admission & parking! Please check the Parents Guide on IMDB if you are unsure of a movies’ suitability for your children.
Plus, there’s be free Cheerwine samples, while supplies last.
