The Wreck of the Richard & Charlene is a no-frills Shem Creek seafood restaurant known for simple, fresh Lowcountry seafood in a casual waterfront setting. Named after a shrimp trawler wrecked on the property during Hurricane Hugo, "The Wreck" as it is locally known, serves dinner favorites like fried shrimp, oysters, scallops, fish, deviled crab, red rice, slaw, hush puppies and fried hominy squares. The restaurant is first come, first served and does not take reservations.
