The Mount Pleasant ArtFest is one of the Lowcountry’s most exciting annual arts festivals, bringing together talented local, regional, and national artists for a vibrant, open-air celebration of creativity! Held at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, a short distance from historic downtown Charleston, ArtFest transforms the shopping district into the ‘Art Walk’, a walkable outdoor gallery. Guests can browse juried fine art by the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild, including paintings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, jewelry, and handcrafted works, all while enjoying live art demonstrations and family-friendly activities.

Admission, parking, and all performances and activities are free! Whether you’re a resident searching for weekend plans or visiting the coast and looking for cultural events in Mount Pleasant, ArtFest offers an inspiring way to experience the local arts scene. Experience the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market, a beloved weekly event held every Tuesday from April through September, from 3:30–7:00 PM. This open-air market showcases the best of the Lowcountry, featuring local farm-fresh produce, meats, sauces, baked goods, specialty foods, and prepared meals perfect for an early dinner or a flavorful snack. Each week also includes live local music, adding to the friendly, community-focused atmosphere.

The market is more than a place to shop; it’s a celebration of the incredible work and dedication of local farmers and food makers who supply fresh harvests to residents, visitors, and Charleston-area restaurants. The Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival is the most popular event of the year in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina!
