Experience stunning panoramic views of Shem Creek and the Charleston Harbor. Pitt Street Bridge at the end of the Old Village District was once the sole means for traveling from Mount Pleasant to the beach at Sullivan’s Island. Stroll along under the palmetto trees on this beautiful coastal passage with plenty of walking space for everyone. Memorial Waterfront Park + Mount Pleasant Pier

Called the “Crown Jewel of Mount Pleasant,” the Memorial Waterfront Park and Mount Pleasant Pier is located under the Cooper River Bridge. The Park is perfect for picnics and the 1,250-foot-long pier is friendly for walkers and fishers.

This 57-acre conservation easement contains a quarter-mile walking trail that leads up to a grand view of salt flats and marshes. While walking along this trail, visitors will pass by a beautiful pollinator garden that provides a habitat for butterflies and other types of pollinators.

Kearns Park Trail

Meander through a maritime forest along the Wando River while gazing at stunning views of the Charleston Harbor, bridges and marshes. Benches are located along the trail at scenic spots and interpretive signage provides information about the various sights.

Patriots Point Nature Trail

The Patriots Point Nature Trail has several different access points and is perfect for hiking, biking and bird watching. Several lookout decks greet you along the way with views of the Charleston Harbor, various historic forts and the Cooper River Bridge.
